While trying to rationalize all the division we see around us, it hit me. Maybe it really comes down to one thing — a complete lack of trust.
At this point, the cause almost doesn’t matter. Media, algorithms, and AI are not helping.
Trust is built slowly and lost quickly. It grows when we show up consistently, listen more than we talk, and work to understand instead of rushing to judge.
That doesn’t mean staying quiet. Speaking up matters — freedom of speech feels more important now than ever.
If trust is what’s missing, then the answer is simple but hard. We have to start giving it and earning it again.
